Changing SIM and APN in GWBR1 Modems
Physical setup
Open the modem lid and make sure all the cables inside the unit are attached.
Attach the antennas to the side terminals.
Insert the new SIM card into the SIM tray. You will need a SIM pin or a paper clip to open the tray.
Connect the modem to a PC or laptop using the ethernet ports and a LAN cable.
Plug the modem into a wall or power strip.
Wait for the blinking lights to go solid, and then log in.
Logging in
In your web browser, type 192.168.50.1:8080 and hit enter.
You should see the Peplink login screen.
Username is: admin
If you do not know your modem admin password, call 888-455-6641 and our support team will be able to look it up for you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It may be necessary to set your laptop or PC IP address to 192.168.50.10
Open Settings ➡️ Network & Internet.
Click on your active network connection.
Scroll down to IP settings and click Edit.
Choose Manual for IP assignment.
Enable IPv4 or IPv6 switches (or both).
Enter the desired static IP address and other details.
Click Save.
Changing the APN.
In the WAN Connection Status section, click on "Details."
Delete the APN address in the APN field and replace it with the one that we provided.
Scroll to the bottom and click Save and Apply.
