Password for Controllers - Access or Changing

Explains how to get access to or reset a password for Controller's: Walchem, ProMinent, Advantage

Updated today

From the Modem

We want to verify we are looking at the correct Controller

ETHERNET Connections:

Peplink: From Status > Client List see if displayed MAC address matches MAC on controller

Teltonika: From Status > Routes > Static > ARP table see if displayed MAC matches MAC on Controller

WI-FI Connections

Blah

If the MAC on the Modem does not match the MAC on the Controller you are trying to login to the wrong controller.

For the Master login password:

Walchem: if MACs match you need to call Walchem to reset the password

ProMinent: only a factory reset can reset the password. Call ProMinent

Advantage: Call Advantage directly to reset the password.

Note: Reset passwords are typically only good for a calendar day.

Note: Be sure to have controller SN prior to calling controller manufacturer.

LOCALLY at the controller

In Config/Security settings

  1. Select Security, enter local password (default is 5555 or serial of the CONTROLLER), and select ENABLED.

  2. If you want to change the local password, select Local Password, enter current password, then enter new password.

  3. Select Controller Logout to secure access to the controller.

Note:

  • Users without the local password will only be able to see information.

  • Users with the Local password will be able to change parameters, calibrate inputs, etc.

  • Users with the local password, still need to contact Walchem if the Master Password Needs reset

Walchem I6, I9, W600, W900 Controllers

REMOTELY on the controller webpage

In Config/Security settings

  1. Enter your current “admin” credentials (default is admin/5555 or serial of the CONTROLLER) and click log in.

  2. The screen below then appears to allow change of the “admin” and “user” credentials. Defaults are admin/5555 and user/1111.

The 2 credentials can be used as follows:

  • Users using the “user” credentials will only be able to see information.

  • Users using the “admin” credentials will be able to change parameters, calibrate inputs, etc.

Notes:

The default password is the serial of the controller NOT the modem. If you are having a difficult time logging in, try double checking the serial of the controller.

If you have changed your password and cannot log in, you will need to contact Walchem for assistance. AquaPhoenix cannot help you reset the password on your controller.
